A few spreads from a personal project which was originally a children’s picturebook. Each page was an illustrated limerick depicting creatures in curious circumstances.
3 bears who had to climb trees,
Hated climbing but didn’t mind bees,
Til’ one day a bear said,
”Put the hive on my head”,
And declared his new crown the bee’s knees.
Five deer not afraid of a thing,
Would stand by the tree tops and sing
“We once were afraid
now we’re not cos we’ve made
longer legs out of bamboo and string.”
Two lions made out of china,
Who’d never seen anything finer,
They still were impressed
By the crystal princess
Who solemnly danced in D-minor
